Fashion students were elated to attend a guest lecture by Lisa Lawrence and Ty Hunter. Ms. Lawrence is a respected industry stylist who has worked primarily with Jean Paul Gaultier. Mr. Hunter is perhaps best known for his 18-year role as Beyoncé’s stylist. Yes, that Beyoncé. Our speakers talked about the importance of maintaining authentic relationships within the industry, innovative thinking, respect, and collaboration.
Leaving enthusiastic and inspired, our students then prepped for their final presentations. Over the course of their 9 days at Columbia, they were tasked with creating their very own fashion brands complete with a target market, social media strategy, marketing campaigns, and a website. The students rose to the challenge, impressively demonstrating their creativity & knowledge of the fashion industry.
